The Klump Company throw open their front door and cordially invite you in to meet The Family Blimp.
Having moved from France to a quintessentially british village, the Family Blimp are in for a rather warm welcome. Or so it would seem…
Physical theatre, grotesque and a lick of the absurd come together as the Blimps attempt to navigate through a strange new place and meet the demands of their newfangled community. When a mysterious talking picnic hamper is delivered to their front door, the Family Blimp decide the best thing to do to fit into their new village is to follow its demands… However strange they may be.
In a small world of reinforced borders what does it mean to belong?
LET’S PLAY – Home Sweet Home!!! After all – there’s no place like it.
The combination of slapstick, clownish, grotesque and absurd movement works well to tell a story that is light-hearted but with dark undertones.
